Meaning: kara = hand; agra = tip; agre = at the tip; vasate = lives;Lakshmi = Goddess of wealth and consort of Lord Vishnu; madhye = in the middle; Saraswati = Goddess of education and learning; moola = base/corner;mooletu = at the base; GovindaH = (go + vinda) go = cattle; vinda = friend) Lord Govinda or Krishna; prabhate = early in the morning; darshanaH = appearance (seeing).
Meaning:
On the tip of your hand lives Goddess Lakshmi; Goddess Saraswathi is in the middle of your hand (palm) and on the base of your hand resides Lord Govinda – in this manner you look at your palm early in the morning.
When you wake up in the morning, it is believed that you need to open your eyes by first looking at the tip of the hands, followed by the palm, then the base of the hands.
